Is it possible to mod PSV files?
Hello.
As the title says.
Is it possible to transfer psv from ps3 to pc, mod them and transfer back?
I have tried but it corrupted the save.
I want to mod Final Fantasy IX save which is psv format from ps3 and i do not know any way to mod them.
Does anyone know how to mod ps3 psv files?
Also does anyone know how can we transfer ps1/ps2 saves on usb flash drive via ps2?
Notes: My PS3 is not modded and is OFW and my PS2 slim is modded with Matrix Infinite 1.93.

Ps2 no idea and for vita only games that have cross save can be modden
So you mod the save from the ps3 and you transfer it to the vita

two saves from same game.
as you can see there is what appears to be a checksum at 08-2F as well as at 124C-124F. yet 124C isnt end of file and 08-2F isnt the exact beginning. but all else is plan hex code from what i can remember of modded this back in the ps1 days.

Re: Is it possible to mod PSV files?
Sigh.. so no way to mod psv files or transfer saves from ps2 to usb.
This is only possible on emulator...
I heard somewhere that it's possible the psv files to be modded by transferring them from ps3 to psp and the opposite then.
However i don't have psp. I wonder why there isn't a program like bruteforce for ps1 games or ps2.

PSP with custom firmware it is possible. there was a ps1/ps2 memory card adapter to transfer saves from ps1/ps2 to your ps3. so if you still have a ps1/ps2 and a cheat device for it you could potentially mod on your ps1/ps2 then use the transfer device to move them to your ps3.
but for now there is no way to do it with bruteforce or hex editor without someone figuring out the security protocols on the saves.

Re: Is it possible to mod PSV files?
can use your saves on ps2 games on the psn store and load up your save through the ps2 memory card with the memory card adapter cuz i have ps3 slim ( the original ) . it will work on ps1 games but not ps2

Re: Is it possible to mod PSV files?
Simple, as long as you got a original ps2 or ps1, cheat on those, save then transfir to ps3 with memory card adapter.
But actually I did do it using a usb and cheating using a PC emulator, and then I changed the file to ps3 memory card file...and it was hard, I read it off another forum. Has to do with re-creating the memory card file using FTP or something, it was a annoying process.....and I dont have cfw anymore so I can't really help with that.....
